How to remove stains from cotton tote bag?

The tote bag has a hot pink ink stain in a bottom corner, and a few brown stains (probably just dirt or something ). The pink stain is my biggest concern in removing, it's more noticeable. I'm not sure how to remove it though, the stain is pretty old. Any ideas?

1. Dab the stain with some rubbing alcohol. It will take time but it will work. use a cotton ball.=)
