Looking for a website that sells different colored cotton bags? I remember a site, but I can't find it, that sells cotton jersey bags (plastic grocery bag size) in hundreds of colors. They sell them individually and in packs of 5 or so. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? As far as I can remember the site is dedicated to these cotton jersey bags.
How to find sales reps to sell my cotton canvas tote bags to individual and companies/stores? How do I remove ground in Lilly pollen from jeans, cotton shirts, gyms bags etc? I was in a wedding and the stupid florist deliveried the flowers with the stamens sill intact. Before I changed I snipped and shook all of the bundles clean. I carefully rolled my jeans and shirt up in my bag, but the pollen is everywhere. (Black velvet jewelry box too) It was a couple of days before I got the bag back from the Maid of Honors house and the items went into the wash. They were washed with Oxy clean, but my helping husband threw them in the dryer without checking. It's bad, I think the shirt is kissed, but I really want to save the jeans. I heard rust remover would help, has anyonewlaw heard that? Thx

Can I put my cotton bag in the washing machine? I think its cotton..or PVC.. Just take note that it is not canvas http://animal.co.uk/fe/htm/index/index.a... Click on luggage, backpack, and scroll to the last bag. That is the bag I'm referring to. So is it alright to put it in the washer? Would it tear my bag or damage it?
How could I make my own reusable grocery bags? I don't want to but the ones from stores, since I shop at multiple places, and it would be weird pulling out some cotton bags from Wal-Mart and using them at Fry's. How can I recycle cotton in the UK? Hi We need to dispose of around 20,000 dyed cotton bags. I would like to recycle them, Does anybody know anywhere that buys cotton fabric for recycling?
Do you want to be taxed for using plastic bags like the Irish are? Plastic Bag usage is a big issue. Do you want to take action or let the Government charge lots more taxes as the Irish Government does? The only real way to do prevent more taxes and charges is to use hemp or cotton bags, use canvas rucksacks, shopping trolleys or not to use bags at all. WHY? Plastic Bags: There are a lot of reasons given why people 'like' plastic bags. However, they still never decompose no matter how many times you use them. This is compounded when people tie their rubbish into plastic bags. If you insist on using plastic bags you will be charged high taxes for doing so. So re-use as many times as possible then take them supermarket to be recycled. Biodegradeable Bags/Bioplastics: Polylactic acid (PLA) a biodegradable polymer derived from lactic acid. These vegetable based bioplastics biodegrades quickly under composting conditions and does not leave toxic residue. However, bioplastic have own environmental impacts caused by manufacturing and disposal of end product. Again you will be charged for these impacts and taxed but on the plus side biodegradable bags (from potato and corn starches) are a new thriving industry Paper Bags. Great if singly composted. In land fill can take years for layers to decompose. Still an organic material. But there is cost of production, costs to environment of pulp trees (monocultures, loss of habitat, etc) costs of recycling/disposal. Again you will have to pay for these production costs and disposal costs and taxed. In UK instead of stop supplying plastic bags you get rewards for bringing your own. Money back, green points. Even with supermarket home delivery See Tesco. This has not been effective so we are back to taxes. In New Zealand Cloth bags are already promoted and sold in supermarkets. However this is not stopping plastic bag useage. France is banning plastic bags 2007 others are moving towards it. The most effective is taxing plastic bag use. If we do not take action we will be taxed as the Irish are for using plastic bags. Effective as a decrease of 90% plastic bag use in Ireland. ****Jet 20 a good question For a local government the issues are that plastic bags account for 8,000 tons of waste generated in Paris each year, at a cost of more than $2 million. And burning plastic bags to dispose of them poses a health hazard. They never decompose so bulk out landfill sites. How much money is spent by your local council retrieving discarded plastic products and taking them to the tip? If these biodegrade then they would not be a problem. No litter collection, less refuse collection, less tax too. Local councils charges because they are charged by central government who in turn has to pay penalties for landfill (charges) ********Chuck T the disposer will be your local council/authority. Landfill taxes/refuse collection taxes, central government penalties etc etc. Then they pass these taxes on to YOU. The rate payer. Burning plastics is not an answer - toxins are harmful to man and environment. ***** Chuck T. What is proper disposal of plastics. No landfill space left. Can't burn. Don't decompose.?? ******* AuntB93 Yes I use cotton bags too. In UK the stores have tried to reduce plastic bag usage with points, money back and in store recycling. This has not been effective enough. There are no more landfill sites. Look at current position of ITALY and rubbish due to this issue. NO I don't want to be taxed either but it is very effective method easy for Governments to apply and unless we act and reduce it ourselves (canvas or cotton bags) then they are left with ban plastic bags or tax. Public outrage or More Revenue? Wonder which your government will chose? ***AuntB93 We cannot get rid of plastics so we have to recycle them so many items are made from the recycled plastic. If they were made out of wood they would return to the earth by decomposing eventually. Again processing and disposal is expensive in cash and environmental terms. I totally agree governments waste money, resources and creativity. I would suggest people power. If everybody took canvas/cotton bags the market would have no choice but to act responsibly. There is lot of power in market solutions that is not available to the average man. Have a look at some of the ways you are 'persuaded' to buy something. Take that choice away from the market. Put it firmly back in the hands of the person. It is so easy: everybody takes a canvas/cotton/hemp bag.
Would you pay $20 for a recycled cotton shopping bag with a %of profits going to environmental charities? I am starting a business that sells environmentally friendly products. The idea is for the products to promote the website for the organizaiton I started to raise awareness and activism for environmental issues. Each product will target something that we can do as individuals to make a difference. Our first planned proudct will be a small size (19 by 33) laundry type bag with a pull string made out of recycled cotton that otherwise would go to landfills. The idea with this product is to bring the bag with you to the grocery store, the mall, or whatever shopping you might be doing. It wil carry the logo for our organization, as well as state the number (somewhere in the billions) of plastic bags that wind up needlessly in landfills every year. A portion of the profits will go to environmental charities. I am trying to set the pricing on this item to sell the most quantity. Knowing that part of the money goes to charity, would you be willing to spend $20 on a product like this?

Where can I buy organic cotton drawstring sachet bags? I am having trouble finding sachet bags that meet the following requirements: 1. Organic, unbleached cotton. 2. Small size 3x5" or 4x6". I have a great bag already with fir needles and need to find more like it so I can make my own. 3. Drawstring closure. Please help! If you make your own sachets from organic herbs and know of a good supplier whose empty sachet bags are organic cotton, please answer. Search engines are doing me no good, no matter how I ask. How to remove ink stains from white cotton/polyester tote bag? I have a white tote bag, that seems to be of a thick canvas-y material. The tag says it's 100% cotton shell and 100% polyester trim. The blue ink stains it has are on the back, outside, of the bag. And there are more ink stains on a pocket that's on the inside. I've tried throwing it in the wash, and using Tide-to-Go on it, but the stains won't go away. They're pretty old, any ideas on how to remove these? Thanks! Btw, if it helps the tag says do no bleach.

How to remove stains from cotton tote bag? The tote bag has a hot pink ink stain in a bottom corner, and a few brown stains (probably just dirt or something ). The pink stain is my biggest concern in removing, it's more noticeable. I'm not sure how to remove it though, the stain is pretty old. Any ideas?
how many new plastic bags do you get in a week? Unless they are biodegradeable and even if they are, they pollute the environment, by being unsightly, blowing around the streets, clogging drains, and filling landfill sights for years and years. They also wreck your fingers if you are carrying heavy items. Why not use a nice cotton or leather bag of your own (much prettier and more with it!)
Where can I buy simple cloth shoulder bags? I once saw a woman with a simple cotton cloth sack type bag that was long, could be worn across the chest. Almost like a hobo bag, only large enough to hold books. Any suggestions where I could find such a bag?

I'm more into the cotton-y kind of bags, if you get what I mean. I like it soft and not hard. Thanks!

What will keep permanent marker from washing out of canvas or cotton? I went to a concert a few days ago and got a canvas tote bag and a white cotton tee signed by the band, and I don't want the signatures to wash out. Will hand-washing them in cold water keep the permanent marker from washing out? If not, is there anything that will? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
Why are cotton balls or other cotton products sold by quantity instead of net weight? For example, the bag will say 100 Jumbo sized cotton balls, or 300 cotton balls, but a net weight of cotton is never listed. Why? Almost every other product on the market is sold by weight, so I was wondering why cotton is exempt from this rule. For example, a bag of 100 Jumbo sized cotton balls from one manufacturer could weigh far more, or less, than the same product produced by another manufacturer. Why is cotton exempt from weight standards?
Can You Fill A Stuffed Toy With Cotton Balls? I filled a toy with its stuffing inside with some cotton balls to make up for the lost stuffing. The cotton balls were from a bag I bought an hour ago and opened a few mins ago. Will this wreck the toy faster or get moldy?
